At Jelly Beans Day Nursery, the team have been working hard both inside and out to make sure our Sensory Room and Garden meet the needs of all of our children. Sensory play includes any activity that stimulates your young child’s senses. These activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore

Inside

Black walls allow for us to have a range of resources available to the children that use light to stimulate senses and learning. We have water, lights, sounds and different textures that all enhance different learning experiences for the children. Some of the children are already enjoying experiencing this newly refurbished room. Take a look at the pictures below.

Outside

The team have worked hard together to create an outside area that stimulates all senses. The marvellous mud kitchen allows for lots of messy fun, while the CD’s allow to children to see the effects of light. Children can dig and explore with bark and pebbles as well as mud.
